Ruger¬Æ built the Ruger Precision¬Æ Rimfire Rifle from the ground-up for optimum accuracy and tactical training. The Quick-Fit adjustable, Precision Rimfire buttstock adjusts for length of pull and comb height. The buttstock and molded 1-piece chassis are constructed of glass-filled nylon to provide a ridged platform for enhanced accuracy. The buttstock features a QD pocket for sling attachment, a bottom Picatinny rail, and rubber buttpad. A 15” anodized aluminum, free-float handguard surrounds the cold hammer-forged barrel. The handguard has Magpul¬Æ M-LOK¬Æ slots on all four sides, and the receiver has an anodized Picatinny scope base. The precision-rifled barrel features a threaded muzzle (1/2”‚Äì28) for attaching aftermarket suppressors (includes thread protector). The Marksman Adjustable‚Ñ¢ trigger breaks clean from 2.5‚Äì5 lbs., and the adjusting wrench stores in a buttstock compartment. The Ruger Precision Rimfire Rifle utilizes the same oversized bolt handle as the Ruger’s centerfire Precision Rifle; and the bolt throw adjusts from a 1-1/2” rimfire bolt throw to a 3” short-action centerfire bolt throw, reducing the risk of short-stroking the bolt during shooting competitions. An AR-style, full pistol grip enhances control. The Precision Rimfire Rifle is compatible with all 10/22¬Æ magazines (8400 ships with one BX-15¬Æ magazine, 8401 ships with two BX-1 magazines).
